In the event of travel disruptions caused by wars, epidemics, or natural disasters, we have established the following guidelines to provide flexibility while ensuring the sustainability of our operations:
All confirmed bookings with a deposit are non-refundable.
If travel is rendered impossible due to any of the aforementioned circumstances, guests may reschedule their booking for a future date within 12 months of the original booking.
Guests must inform Mont Eco Game Reserve in writing of their intent to reschedule within 14 days of the incident impacting travel. New travel dates are subject to availability.
Deposits for confirmed bookings will be retained and applied to the rescheduled booking.
Guests are encouraged to stay informed about any developments that may affect their travel plans.
Your stay includes luxury accommodation, three chef-prepared meals daily, two guided Big 5 game drives, bush walks, on-drive snacks and beverages, the conservation contribution, and 15% VAT.
Optional extras such as laundry, beverages, curio shop purchases, gratuities, and transfers to and from Montagu are not included in the nightly rate. Alcoholic drinks are billed separately.
Cancellations must be submitted in writing and acknowledged by the reservations team. A 10% cancellation fee applies for cancellations made more than 120 days before arrival, 50% for cancellations made between 120 and 90 days prior, and 100% for cancellations made between 90 and 60 days before arrival.
If travel becomes impossible due to Force Majeure circumstances, deposits remain non-refundable but guests may reschedule their stay within 12 months of the original booking. Written notice must be provided within 14 days of the incident and rescheduled dates are subject to availability.
Children under 3 years old cannot join game drives. Children aged 3–6 may only participate with an exclusive-use vehicle. Persons under 14 years are not permitted on walking safaris. Suites can accommodate one child on a daybed and one infant in a cot, depending on availability.
Facilities include high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the lodge, secure covered parking, comfortable lounge areas, fireplaces, a dining room, breakfast dome, viewing deck, pool deck and bar, and a curio shop.
Each 80 m² suite features an extra-length king-size bed with cotton percale linen, a daybed for children, a Khoi-San inspired basket-weave bath and walk-in rain shower, a private viewing deck, a fireplace, minibar, tea and coffee station, electronic safe, high-speed fibre Wi-Fi, air-conditioning and a ceiling fan.
Your stay includes two daily guided Big 5 game drives, one at sunrise and one at sunset. Drives include gourmet snacks, freshly brewed coffees, refreshing beverages, blankets, and expert guiding from experienced rangers. Day visitor drives depend on availability.
Yes. The reserve is fully solar-powered and committed to conscious, sustainable travel. Each stay contributes directly to regional conservation and wildlife protection, including ongoing rhino preservation.
Mont Eco is located just over 2.5 hours from Cape Town, along Driekuilshoogte Road near Montagu. Transfers can be arranged on request at an additional cost.
Provisional reservations are held for 24 hours during holiday season, 48 hours for bookings made within 30 days of arrival, 7 days for bookings made 31–90 days prior, and 14 days for bookings made more than 90 days before arrival. Bookings not confirmed within these timeframes are automatically released.
Yes. A daily conservation levy is already included in the per-person nightly rate. It does not appear as a separate line item and contributes to vital wildlife and habitat preservation.
